Artist's Comments

A storm passing over the Sawtooths in Idaho. 13 stitched exposures taken with an old digital camera. It prints 23 inches wide though.

Since the thumbnail will most likely be tiny, please full view my work.

Now this is just very solid and wonderful. I've sort of been seeing stuff like this all day, read an article in National Geographic about the little Mars crawlers and saw their big panoramas. But the variety of textures and tones in this is really great, how it goes from rough to solid to puffy, and gray black white. really good balance and composition. And the stitching you did very well, coulnd't even tell.

The sun shines, but I don't. A silver rain will wash away.

Thanks man, the textures and tones really work together well in this scene. The taking of this picture was sort of abstract, in a way: standing before a vast mountain range, witnissing vivid drama in the storm, but being safe from the action. On the stiching, however, there is still some wild distortion, even though I used the spherize command.

that is a really cool damn picture man, you got to keep this up, i love how the stom is being played out in the back yet i belive you should also try actually getting closer to those shrubs i gain a larger field of view. if you know what i mean ??

Thanks.
I do know what you mean, but there was a fence in the way, and panoramic stiching works best near infinity.
